7/19/2022 0 Comments Making sense of exorcismMongoose: I need desperate help and prayers. If anyone has advice or is guided by the holy spirit to help my family. Our three year old son is being tormented by the demon beezelbub. We have heard him say the name when he is going crazy. Last night while praying over him his eyes rolled into the back of his head. I just kept praying and finally got my son back. I thought it was over but it showed back up. We are a faithful family but something is bringing this into my home. Any advice and prayers is appreciated. Thanks and God bless. Skunk:
Demons are part of Satan's enterprise to deceive people and bait them to believe their false religions and their false gospel. Their end goal has always been, since Genesis 3, to rob God of the worship that He deserves by luring mankind to worship a false god (whatever or whoever else it is) instead; this way, they would imprison the people's minds to false beliefs, keep them away from hearing the truth, and eventually make the lost souls be cast into the eternal perdition. So demons MAY stop harassing someone if a witch doctor, guru, Roman Catholic priest tries to intervene, but it is only because they want to give the appearance of legitimacy to these representatives of false religions. If demons are successful, people will be deceived, and believe in these exorcists as representatives of true religions. Secondly, demons fear no man but God alone. They have no reverence for man, and they respect no orders from exorcists. The power to cast out demons was part of an early apostolic sign gift to authenticate the legitimacy of the preacher's message about the Christ. But even then, the exorcists who are legitimately authorized by the Lord Jesus had to acknowledge through prayer that it is God alone who has authority over demons (Mark 9:29). The only way to prevent home invasion by robbers and murderers is to invite a stronger person to occupy the home. And Paul says that everyone who has put their faith in the Lord Jesus as the one and only Sacrifice for sin has God the Holy Spirit indwelling them (1Corinthians 6:19). For believers, demon possession is impossible, since God has them. In order to become a believer, one must believe the correct message about God and Jesus. So prayer for the boy's salvation in Christ and the boy coming to Christ is the only true way to make the demons leave him. The parents must offer up prayer to God. At the same time, it must be said about any person who does the praying: 1John 5:14 says that those who are the children of God (i.e. those who believe in the Lord Jesus) have the confidence that God hears them. That means, on the other hand, God is under no obligation to hear the prayers of those who are in rebellion against Him, that is, those who are not His children. Pardon me, but it must be asked: Have the parents considered that they themselves might not have truly put their faith in Christ's work on the cross alone (and not a man-made, demon-energized religious system) to save them? There is one prayer that God always hears from those outside of His family, and that is the prayer for his/her own salvation from the wrath of God against their own sins (Romans 10:13), because they believe the message of the gospel. Only when a person possesses the light can they truly confront the darkness.
